The workshop provides recent information and outcomes of the Jayhun project on the topics · Climate change, · Reservoir capacity · Resulting management options and risk management addressed to Central Asian decision makers and stakeholders. A number of external experts in the fields of hydrology, climate change, reservoir operation and other water management institutes are also invited to participate in the International Workshop. XIIIth World Water Congress, Montpellier 2008 Special Session: "Future trends of water and food security in Central Asia, implications for reaching the Millennium Development Goals", 2nd September 2008 The project Jayhun contributes with first results and key experiences mainly to this special session of the World Water Congress 2008 and contributes to the preparation towards the World Water Forum in Istanbul, 2009. The presentation and contributions from the Jayhun Project provide key messages on future ways ahead for the scientific audience and participating Stakeholder and Ministry delegates from Central Asia. JAYHUN project mid-term meeting JAYHUN project mid-term meeting in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, July 2007 First project outcomes and project progresses were presented and discussed during the mid-term meeting in Dushanbe. The event has been hosted by the WPHEI-Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology; Academy of Sciences Tajikistan Members of the project consortium also visited the University of Dushanbe, to introduce the project objectives and to discuss several scientific topics with local experts. The conference program is available for download! http://www.inco-jayhun.net/download.php?list.22 Jayhun Kick-off meeting Tashkent 2006 KICK OFF MEETING JAYHUN PROJECT TASHKENT 2006 This is an outline of the first International Workshop carried out in the frame of the project JAYHUN in Tashkent Uzbekistan, from the 24th to the 27 th January 2006. The kick off meeting has been carried out jointly with a project introduction day. The first day with an introduction of the project issues and the project consortium was addressed to the invited ministry delegates, local stakeholders and the public (TV & radio). Different workshops and workgroup discussions, addressed to the issues of the project work program, were held within the next three days.
